Our mission is to bring the magic of theatre to our rural communities to foster creativity and cultural engagement among residents.
Who are we?
Little Playhouse on the Prairie is a 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre organization. We have big dreams of opening a brick and mortar location in Vernon's Main Street district. Until then, our troupe will continue to produce one play a year to contribute to the growing cultural scene in our small town and give residents an opportunity to unleash their creativity and talent.
What we do:
-
Step into the spotlight as we bring the stage to life with our annual Summer Productions. Each year, The Little Playhouse on the Prairie presents a captivating full-length play, crafted with passion and performed by an all-volunteer cast and crew. From the first script reading to the final bow, our community comes together to create an unforgettable experience.
-
Dive into the world of spontaneous laughter with our Improv Troupe. Every week, our talented and quick-witted members gather for lively rehearsals, honing their improvisational skills and building a repertoire of hilarious scenarios. These sessions are not just about comedy – they're about building connections, boosting confidence, and embracing the joy of unscripted performance.
-
Get ready for an evening of unpredictable entertainment! Our Improv Troupe takes the stage quarterly, delivering side-splitting performances that showcase the power of improvisation. From games and skits to audience participation, no two shows are ever the same. Be part of the laughter and join us for an unforgettable night of unscripted fun.
